Case 4: Right Atrial Thrombus


Young man with history of osteosarcoma post chemotherapy. Cine 4CH: Large mobile mass in the RA. The mass appears to be attached to the roof of the RA, but probably extents to the RA from the vena cava. The surface is smooth with a few mobile attachments.


Tumour characterisation: (A) T1w 4CH and (B) T2w 4CH: low signal intensity; (C) EGE 4CH and (D) LGE 4CH: homogeneous signal suppression.



First-pass perfusion: heterogeneous nature of flow of contrast suggesting vascularity within the tumour.
