Case 1: Chronic Type B Aortic Dissection

T1w / Cine / VENC Aorta: Chronic type B aortic dissection originating from the aortic arch and running down the descending aorta. The false lumen is typically larger than the true lumen accompanied by flow acceleration in the latter. The false lumen is partially thrombosed.

Cine 4CH: The smaller true lumen (red arrow) can be easily identified by the pulsating flow. Note the organized thrombus in the false lumen.

VENC Aorta through-plane: Flow acceleration in the smaller true lumen of the descending aorta. Partial thrombosed false lumen with areas of reduced flow.
